LUCY AND THE RED SHOES by Nina Nolte
Nina Nolte, German artist, presents LUCY AND THE RED SHOES as part of her beloved series BEES FLIGHT.
NINA NOLTE ARTSOLUTIONS extends the opportunity to acquire a premium art print of this exceptional creation. This reproduction faithfully captures the essence of Nina Nolte’s original masterpiece, crafted in 2003 with acrylic paint and color pencils on canvas. The original piece measures an impressive 120 x 187 cm (47 x 74″) and is available for viewing at our PANORAMA 187 studio in Marbella. A detailed photo documentation of the artwork’s progression from a blank canvas to its final form is also available.
The piece portrays Lucy, a girl adorned in a light blue dress and vibrant red shoes, joyfully jumping rope. Her slightly reddish hair dances in the wind. Lucy seems absorbed in her activity, unaware of the viewer’s presence. Behind her lies an almost endless wheat field, suggesting late summer and harvest readiness. The expanse of blue sky above her occupies two-thirds of the canvas, adorned with billowing white clouds along the horizon. Unlike Nina Nolte’s usual bird’s-eye view, this perspective places Lucy below, creating the illusion of floating or flying.

THE OPTIMAL SIZE FOR YOUR ARTWORK
