Nina Nolte unveils BLUE IN GREEN as part of her celebrated series THE BEST IS YET TO COME.

In this enchanting tableau, two close companions share a moment of tranquil camaraderie. Immersed up to their shoulders in the emerald waters, which shimmer with reflections of a lighter blue, they sit shoulder to shoulder, seemingly absorbed in reflection after an undoubtedly profound conversation.

Their silhouettes remain discernible through the crystal-clear depths. Both don turbans and sunglasses, conjuring a wistful, sixties-inspired ambiance. The lady on the right dons a turban adorned with a captivating blue and white motif, cradling what appears to be a Campari Orange. To the left, her companion wears a vibrant yellow turban, her arms also submerged beneath the surface. The deliberate choice of a bird’s eye perspective by the artist further heightens the sense of intimacy within the scene.

This original piece measures 80 x 140 cm (31.5 x 55″). It has been exhibited at notable venues such as Ortung VII in Schwabach, and esteemed galleries including Galerie Blaeser, Galerie Michael Nolte in Munster, Galerie Friedmann-Hahn in Berlin, and Stadtgalerie Alte Post in Westerland, Germany.
