In FOREVER AND A DAY, Nina Nolte transports us to the stern of a luxurious cruise ship, where two intimate friends share a moment of quiet companionship. Leaning side by side against the wide wooden railing, they rest their arms, their elegant turbans and oversized sunglasses lending an air of chic sophistication. Their shoulders bask in the open air, adorned with what appear to be swimsuits and pareos casually draped over them. With gazes fixed on the distant horizon, these women exude an unmistakable sixties charm. The water around the stern is stirred, its surface lightly frothed by the ship’s propeller.
