SOME DAY MY PRINCE WILL COME by Nina Nolte
SOME DAY MY PRINCE WILL COME is a captivating piece from the celebrated German artist Nina Nolte’s distinguished series POOL PAINTINGS.
This artwork presents a young boy, with brown hair and clad in a vibrant red bathing suit, swimming towards the viewer. The water is depicted as shallow, revealing reflections of light dancing on the pool’s floor. A subtle shade cast by the boy’s body adds depth to the composition.
Crafted in 2009, the original artwork was rendered with a skillful combination of acrylic paint, color pencils, and pastels on canvas in the artist’s studio in Marbella. Its dimensions stand at an impressive 120 x 180 cm (41 x 71″). This piece has been showcased in prestigious exhibitions, including Kunstverein Aschaffenburg (Starke Frauen), ART Karlsruhe 2014 with Galerie Angelika Bläser/ Dusseldorf, Stadtgalerie Alte Post/ Westerland Sylt, and ultimately found its new home in the exhibition at Galerie Friedmann-Hahn/ Berlin (as featured in the catalogue).
