THE BEST IS YET TO COME by Nina Nolte

The artwork THE BEST IS YET TO COME belongs to German artist Nina Nolte ´s series THE BEST IS YET TO COME. It actually gave the series its name.
One of the series is called With a Song in Our Hearts

Two friends in white bathrobes are putting on make-up in a SPA. The lady on the right takes up a good third of the picture. On her head she wears a light yellow turban with a red pattern. Bright blue sunglasses with dark lenses rest on her nose. She holds a red lip gloss in her ringed hand and looks intently into the golden mirror in her other hand. The woman wears a large, bright white pearl in her left ear. Her lips are already red.

The friend to the left behind her has a page boy haircut. She keeps her light brown hair out of her face with a black hairband. Her black, narrow sunglasses are from the fifties. She also wears bright pearls as ear studs. Her gaze is focused into the distance. Behind the ladies you can see the small tiled wall of the SPA. It is turquoise with small speckles.

This original artwork was painted in 2013 with acrylic paint, color pencils and pastel on canvas. The size of the original is 100 x 175 cm (39 x 69″). It has been shown on the exhibitions in Punzmann Contemporary, Frankfurt, Galerie Wild Zurich, Giosimoarte Capri, Galerie Blaeser Dusseldorf, Kunst Zurich, RTL Tous pour l’art, Alles für die Kunst, Galerie Friedmann-Hahn Berlin (catalogue), Kunstverein Aschaffenburg, Stadtgalerie Alte Post Westerland. The artwork actually can be visted in our studio in PANORAMA 187 in Marbella.
