The lady on the right, with an orange pareo around her hips, is absorbed in an activity just beyond the edge of the picture, applying Nivea to her leg.

Meanwhile, her left-hand companion adjusts her yellow turban, revealing the pearl of a long earring. It seems she is preparing to take a swim. The sun, beginning its descent, casts a shimmering reflection on the clear, shallow water. At the upper right edge, a striking glare of light catches the eye.
