In TESORO — Spanish for “TREASURE” — Nina Nolte leads us into a world of coded forms and hidden meaning. At the center of the composition glows a vibrant red-orange structure: a vault, a chamber, a secret core. Within it are mysterious paddle-figures, protected and enclosed, as if stored in a sacred archive. This is the inner treasure, the emotional or spiritual essence we carry deep inside.

Surrounding this central “safe” is a field of blue and black filled with countless paddle-figures: the crowd, the world, perhaps the chaos of everyday life. These paddles search, reach, question — unaware that the true treasure lies just beyond their perception.

The painting speaks to the human condition: we move through the external world looking for meaning, yet what truly matters is often hidden within.

TESORO reminds us that our greatest value lies not in what surrounds us, but in what we protect — quietly, carefully — at our center.

Shipping

The artwork can be shipped worldwide with FEDEX, either stretched on its current stretcher bars or as rolled canvas in a PVC tube, with or without the disassembled stretcher bars. In case the stretcher bars are also included, both the canvas and stretcher bars have markings to ensure that the artwork can be reassembled exactly as it is currently mounted.
