THE KING OF THE WOODS by Nina Nolte
This square masterpiece THE KING OF THE WOODS was created by the German artist Nina Nolte on her drawing board, inspired by her earlier piece from 1995 titled ROEHRENDER HIRSCH. Nina Nolte has always had a penchant for graphic art, which is evident in her serigraphs. Combined with her love for Pop Art, a completely new, pop-style deer emerged in 2022. The pop-art deer is standing majestically on a lush green hill under a starry night. Its body is adorned with graffiti in orange and pale pink, while the mane, contours, and shadows are in vibrant purple. The sky behind the deer is in a light turquoise, and the numerous orange dots represent the stars.
